In accordance with article 92-1 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 15, 2010, No. 339-IV “On the Use of the Airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Aviation activities”, aviation personnel and other employees of operators and organizations of civil and experimental aviation are required to notify about aviation occurrences that may pose a significant risk to flight safety.
The categories of aviation occurrences, the notification about is carried out through the mandatory reporting system, as well as the list of persons submitting the data on aviation occurrences of this category, are established by the Rules for data submission and investigation of aviation accidents and incidents in civil and experimental aviation, approved by the order of the Minister for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 27, 2017, No. 505 (hereinafter - the Rules).
The categories of aviation occurrences in civil and experimental aviation that are subject to notification through the mandatory reporting system are defined in Appendix 25 and Appendix 26 of the Rules.
The investigation of aviation accidents and incidents is carried out by the Department for the Investigation of Transport Accidents and Incidents in Transport of the authorized body in the field of civil aviation.
