The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues its efforts to expand the geography of air services and increase the frequency of flights on existing routes.
On September 15, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and representatives of the Turkish airline SunExpress.
SunExpress plans to launch regular flights on a new route connecting Izmir and Astana. The flights are scheduled to operate twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, using Boeing 737 aircraft.
In addition, starting October 25, the airline will increase the frequency of flights on the existing Almaty - Izmir route from two to three flights per week.
The launch of the new air service and the increase in flight frequency are expected to contribute to the further development of trade and economic ties, business relations, and tourism cooperation between the two countries.
