Due to the growing number of advertisements on social media offering sightseeing (excursion) flights on light and ultralight aircraft, as well as aerostats, the Civil Aviation Committee (CAC) and the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK) remind passengers of the importance of complying with flight safety requirements.
To protect life and health, passengers are advised, prior to the flight, to ensure that the operator (flight organizer) has the following documents:
Authorization documents – a valid Air Operator Certificate and Operations Specifications issued by the AAK in accordance with established procedures.
Airworthiness – a valid Certificate of Airworthiness for the aircraft.
Crew qualifications – the pilot must hold a valid license with the appropriate category and qualifications.
Insurance – the existence of mandatory civil liability insurance covering passengers.
The CAC and AAK emphasize that a mandatory condition for conducting a flight is the provision of a pre-flight safety briefing for passengers. Flights are also not recommended in adverse weather conditions (strong winds, low cloud cover, precipitation).
Compliance with these measures will help minimize risks and ensure flight safety.
