The first meeting of the Kazakhstan-Bavarian Working Group on Cooperation in the Economic, Scientific, and Agricultural Fields was held in Munich, Federal Republic of Germany.

The event was co-chaired by Olzhas Saparbekov, Vice Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Eric Beisswenger, Bavarian Minister for European and International Affairs. Nurlan Onjanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Federal Republic of Germany, participated in the meeting. Talgat Lastayev, Vice Minister of Transport, took part on behalf of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the investment opportunities of Kazakhstan's transport sector were presented, highlighting the country's openness to cooperation with foreign partners and its consistent efforts to improve the investment climate. Special attention was paid to the development of the Middle Corridor as a strategic route connecting Asia and Europe, as well as promising projects in railway, port, and airport infrastructure.

Kazakhstan's interest in engaging Bavarian companies in joint projects and exchanging expertise in innovative transport technologies was underscored.

It was also noted that 18 regular flights per week are currently operated between Kazakhstan and Germany across five routes, including direct air service on the Shymkent – Munich route. The launch of this direct flight has provided an additional impetus to the development of business, investment, and tourism ties, as well as the expansion of contacts between the business communities of Kazakhstan and Bavaria.
