Under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastayev paid a working trip to the East Kazakhstan Region to inspect the construction sites of the Zaisan and Katon-Karagay airports.
The working trip was also attended by Bakhytzhan Baiakhmetov, Deputy Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region; Faat Bogdashkin, Director General of "Kazaeronavigation" RSE; Michael Daniel, Chief Executive Officer of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan; Aelita Akhmetsalimkyzy, Akim of the Zaisan District of the East Kazakhstan Region; as well as representatives of construction contracting organizations.
During the site visits, participants reviewed the current pace of construction and installation works, the degree of readiness of the main airfield and terminal infrastructure facilities, and discussed further preparations for putting the airports into operation.
